Commnet from JAK: The Math Department is most definitely on the right track as far as developing curriculum maps. I hope you have valued the way in which the task of mapping has provoked what I think have been useful discussions. Keep up the good work with mapping, on the one hand, but more important, with a reflective approach to your curriculum and pedagogy on the other! I am working with Marla on some of the aspects of the design of the maps that you suggested--we'll see, there are some technical issues that are in the way (and over my head with respect to software programming), and also some philosophical issues that need to be worked out.
